Climb, Climb and Climb some more!

I know I owe you guys some girl knitting inspiration, which is coming, I swear! But it’s been busy, and chilly, around these parts lately. And we’ve been kicking it into high gear to get things done around the house before winter settles in. We’ve got some renos that we’re trying to wrap up before the snow (and Christmas…I’m cringing even mentioning it!) get here. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen a glimpse as to what I’m talking about. I’m hoping to share a lot more about our renovation process and house updates here in the coming future.

But for now, I started a new knitting project! Since I’m trying to use up as much of my current yarn stash as possible before I go and grab some new yarn for new projects, I thought I would start up on an other pair of climb socks. I made this pattern last year for the Journey KAL and loved it. Plus this yarn, after I washed it became even softer, which makes this a perfect cozy pair of socks for cooler weather.

The details for this pair are identical to the last pair, except for a few (non relevant) size changes that I’ve made. I started this one last weekend and have been picking it up here and there. Also, I have to say that I’m kind of proud of my Turkish caston for this pair. Not that I have any pictures of it to show you guys, but it looks a LOT better then my first pair of socks. Not that it’s perfect yet by any means. But I’m slowly working my way there.

I’m hoping to knit up a bit more pattern from Journey within the next couple of weeks if all goes well. And I’ll hopefully be sharing a couple of DIY and handmade gift ideas, since it is a goal of mine this year to buy less and make more. I could go off on you guys and discuss my thoughts on commercialism and the meaning of handmade, but I’ll spare you the details πŸ˜‰

Have you guys been knitting up anything cozy? Or started on Christmas makes at all?
