A Divided Basket for a New Baby

Ever since the Divided Basket pattern was released on Noodlehead I couldn’t wait to find an excuse to get it! I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when I finally got it. I would have run out to my local fabric shop that day, but unfortunately it was closed, so I had to wait. And fortunately friends of ours just had their baby and it was my excuse for sewing it up right away (and running out to buy more fabric of course).

It was a great pattern and turned out a great basket! I will definitely be doing more of these baskets and maybe modifying it a bit for my own uses. The fabrics I chose to use for this are from Northcott’s Robotex collection for the small multicolour gears and the grey and white gears. I already had the lining fabric on hand which is also from Northcott but unfortunately it a discontinued line and I don’t have the collection name on the yardage 🙁 and finally, I also used a dark blue textured looking fabric which I have also seem to have lost the collection name and maker.
Now, how else to fill up this basket but by putting the Uber Cozy Bunny and a baby book in one pocket and filling the other with teeny tiny diapers. And now, baby is set!

Doesn’t he look like he wants a hug?!? Yea…I had a bit of a hard time to see him go, but I did make him for this little guy. Can’t wait to make another one now though!
